#MitoPals I met Eddie Rashan and Nathan Murray back in 2018 at the Frontiers in Metabolism meeting and now we are all getting ready to graduate. The journey has come full circle and it’s exciting to see what’s coming next.
Nathan Murray, an IPiB graduate student in the Pagliarini Lab, is defending his PhD research on 7/6. More info: ipib.wisc.edu/2022/06/16/ipi…
Very excited for this work to be out! Big thank you to all of the great collaborators who made this possible! GrossLab_WashU Katherine Henzler-Wildman Lab Juan Pablo Rincon Pagliarini Lab
Very excited to share our new Molecular Cell paper describing the structure and functionality of a CoQ-related complex. Wonderful collaboration with Adam Frost, Matteo Dal Peraro, Aydin Lab, and others. Mateusz Manicki was indefatigable in driving this one home! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
A new paper from Nathan Murray Pagliarini Lab identified a small molecule inhibitor for human COQ8A, which is essential for coenzyme Q biosynthesis. Free to read: rdcu.be/cYpNU nature.com/articles/s4158…

Thrilled to share that our review on bacterial G-quadruplexes is now online! Thankful for my lab mate and friend Sarah McMillan who wrote this review with me! tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
We're looking forward to Monday, May 22nd, when we'll be hosting a symposium featuring 10 talented Graduate Student Rising Stars from across the country starting at 9am in HSEB 1700! Co-hosted by U of U NUIP.
biorxiv.org/content/10.110… I am thrilled to see our pre-print out and available to the scientific community. Co-led by Abby Bartlett, we identify two mammalian enzymes that drive the catabolism of 4-hydroxy acids through FAO via 4-phosphoacyl-CoA intermediates. #lipids #metabolism
Congratulations to Rachel Rachel Cueny and the Keck Lab on this exciting work!!
