The ECB is moving to allow professionals at lower league level if your league has a premier league status, this will be decisive across league cricket up & down the country. Effectively the ECB playing favourites with the GMCL and looking down on the BCL, nothing to be proud of.

If what I’m hearing is true about Atherton CC then they should be told to find another league for next season. Not the sort of clubs that are wanted in Go to @nwcricketleague league.

Why didn’t the BCL & BDCA come together? What a force that would’ve been. Instead we’re stuck with the GMCL trying to kill cricket where we have to get a visa to go and see your local teams play. It’s not cricket like we used to know it built on years of history.

Hearing speculation tonight that a certain ECB approved league will be able to continue cricketing this weekend whilst the oldest league in the world the BCL will be told to suspend play.
