It has been seventeen months since the war erupted in April 2023, and it seems like there is no end in sight. The remaining residents in Khartoum are facing a harsh reality and one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes ever recorded. Here is a brief story and scenes of

This is far too late and feels insignificant in relation to what the RSF is doing to #Sudan. Seems the US is still holding out on sanctioning Hemedti, for the sake of leverage. In fact sanctioning him *provides* leverage. So, at which point would sanctioning Hemedti be viable?

You didn’t get the #NobelPrize2024,but we salute you. Intl recognition of local responders must come with better funding and pressure for their protection. The world is yet to grasp all what you’ve done to save lives. But civilians in #Sudan know. khartoumerr.org/819/

We’ve now helped more than a million people in #humanitarian need in 🇸🇩 #Sudan so far this year. I wish we didn’t need to, but glad we have. It’s been heavy, but we’ll keep lifting! ~ Proud of team & partners, grateful for donor & peer support + in awe of 🇸🇩ese selflessness

How can this still fly under the f*ing radar?! More people than the entire populations of 🇬🇷🇵🇹🇨🇿🇸🇪🇯🇴🇭🇹🇨🇺🇩🇴 displaced by war in just 1 country. If they formed a country, it’d be larger than 110 other countries in the world. “Tell me the global system is racist without telling me”

What world do we live in where statements like "we call on the RSF to stop slaughtering civilians, including rape and the killing of children" have to be written? And what world is the US Government living in that they think saying this means anything to the RSF or the Sudanese?

What's been happening in Sudan? Last week, the Rapid Support Forces launched several attacks on villages and towns in Gezira state in central Sudan, reportedly killing more than 120 people in just one village. Mohamed Osman discusses the latest bouts of violence:

We distribute cash to the most vulnerable. The ones who lost a home+a job+ all savings while fleeing. Our data show that 98% of the recipients spend money on food, then health, essential home items or repaying debts they incurred after 21 months of displacement. No waste here.
