Telecommunications cut off in Omdurman amidst ongoing fighting between the army and the RSF. RSF reinforcement has reached the central bank of Sudan in Al Mogran where the battles are currently centered.

This is far too late and feels insignificant in relation to what the RSF is doing to #Sudan. Seems the US is still holding out on sanctioning Hemedti, for the sake of leverage. In fact sanctioning him *provides* leverage. So, at which point would sanctioning Hemedti be viable?

What world do we live in where statements like "we call on the RSF to stop slaughtering civilians, including rape and the killing of children" have to be written? And what world is the US Government living in that they think saying this means anything to the RSF or the Sudanese?
