The Environmental Biology class sampled macroinvertebrates at Cadron Creek for the #freshwaterbiodiversity lab and examined the critters before releasing them back to the water. It was a beautiful day and Shamindri Tennakoon, PhD and the class enjoyed being out in the field! #funinthefield

These temps won’t keep this Urban Wildlife Information Network team from setting up game cameras in Little Rock! Showed the new Hendrix College field team for 23-24 how to set cameras today after meeting with our partners at Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. They’re a solid bunch!
Congrats to the Urban Wildlife Information Network and a huge shout out to Mason Fidino, PhD for leading the charge and putting our findings so nicely into this thread 😊 Also grateful for the support of Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Hendrix College in making this research happen for the Little Rock node of UWIN.
Over halfway through the MAPS season at Stone Prairie and it’s been a good one! Some highlights include this Yellow-billed Cuckoo & Worm-eating Warbler. Hendrix College skills are advancing & we’re enjoying working with our amazing partners Arkansas Game and Fish Commission & ANHC
