As is their Article 13 right, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has withdrawn from the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation as a NATO+ Party. We thank them for their contributions to the alliance and will be beginning the disintegration of KSA forces from the NATO military structure.

The Deputy Secretary General for International Defense flew to New York City after his visit to Spain to attend the United Nations General Assembly. His purpose was to observe and represent NATO's interests during the proceedings.
