With NYC's salary law now in place, I've been looking at some companies' salary ranges, & I can already see that the "good faith" part of the law is going to be tested. A salary range of $50,000 to $145,000 is deeply unserious. (This is the New York Post Tech Reporter role, btw)

When I was like 9 years old my parents rented Mrs. Doubtfire so I screamed and hid in a closet. I somehow thought Mrs. Doubtfire was the same movie as Event Horizon. Anyway, that just popped into my head. I think I was way too young to have seen Event Horizon.

If only we knew the cause of this pernicious labor shortage. Oh well, I guess we’ll never know. Let’s just raise interest rates until businesses fail and people are tossed out of work.

Yup. And the only Twitter surface that came *close* to referring Google or Facebook levels of traffic was Moments, when you were featured on Explore. But they were hit or miss, the strategy was not scalable like the others, and he appears to have shut it down anyway. So.

Well it finally happened. I got caught in a pretty violent rip current alongside a jetty, right as a set of 4ft waves was rolling in. Felt like my first real test in the water, and praise the lord I didn’t completely panic.

Longer tweets means longer gaps between ad units, which means fewer people will see ads, which means ad revenue will decline even further for Twitter. Risky play.

I don’t know the name of this candy, I only know the sound it makes when a congregation pelts them at you at your bar mitzvah.

Integrating ChatGPT with an edtech platform is super smart. I already ask GPT when I have a SQL question, so having it at my finger tips on the same platform I’m actually learning SQL is just an A+ idea. udacity.com/blog/2023/03/a…

Is the I-5 southbound closed? I stopped in Bakersfield on my way to LA from Napa and can’t get a straight take (local news is…not helping). I’m with a 4-month old so need to make a decision here. #postfire
