my partner and I just witnessed and then received verbal harassment on Metro Forward by a man with a deep hatred in his heart for people he doesn't understand. being gay is fucking scary sometimes.

He then turned his attention on my partner and I and screamed at us for being gay, calling us slurs. We felt incredibly unsafe. He reboarded the train and stared us down for a few stops before exiting at Judiciary Sq. Metro Forward Metro Transit Police (2/2)

Just witnessed a small child get SCREAMED at by a man for having two dads. This man yelled that everyone on the train should “be sick” that this “innocent child” was being raised by f@gs — we yelled at him to get off the train; the family departed and he followed them (1/2)

How many newspapers, TV networks, legislative chambers, and more grant trans people 'visibility' but no agency.

How our stories are so rarely told by us.

Transgender people are everywhere. They are making contributions in society today. We have rocket scientists, movie stars, grammy winning musicians, political officeholders.

We are part of the fabric of America, of the world, of what it means to be human.
