This is maybe the most impactful change made possible by the 2022 gun safety bill. It empowered the President to require ALL commercial sellers of guns to conduct background checks, regardless of venue, and today Biden is getting it done.

NEW: Our Administration is taking historic action to reduce the number of firearms sold without background checks. This will help keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and felons.

Now, Congress needs to do its part and pass universal background checks.

Huge news from Vice President Harris on Gun Violence Prevention. The administration is closing the Gun Show and Online sales loophole that allows folks to purchase guns without a background check. We’ve been fighting for this and they listened. This will save lives.
