Services will be back for seniors, youth and recipients of OHIP covered eyecare starting tomorrow. I will be using my voice in the Legislature to tell the Premier to bargain in good faith, to stay at the table and ensure these services won't be lost again #onpoli #eyecareontario

Ontario Association Of Optometrists & Ontario Ministry of Health have agreed to enter formal negotiations regarding #OHIP funding of optometric care.

Last week at Queen's Park I tabled petitions from the people of Sudbury that demanded optometrists be given compensation for the full cost of OHIP-insured services. OHIP eye care has returned, but it is still necessary to give optometrists funding for the cost of delivery.

“Lowering the cost of doing business” isn’t Specsavers plan.. they use healthcare as a lost leader to sell low cost eyewear. They will use Ontario Ministry of Health to lower costs and increase referrals to other OHIP providers. Net effect more cost to taxpayers. Victor Fedeli Sylvia Jones
