Emma, Olivia, and Kayla helped Mrs. Gochis, Belmont Bulldogs Art Teacher, prepare banners with artwork to cover the school for their upcoming STEAM night on May 6th. Kayla’s brother, Camden, also stopped by to help his big sister! 💜🎨
We had a great time Avenue of Life today helping organize freezers and prepare the dining area to serve a meal to 200+ folks this evening. Thanks for having us and teaching us more about the work you do in our community to help the homeless!
Today Grace, Noah W, Larissa T, Noah J, and Mrs. Goodman volunteered [email protected]. They sorted various supplies and learned more about the ways this organization supports KC’s environment, education, and homeless population through creative reuse.
Madison, Emma, and Olivia did a “bead”utiful job sorting and bagging lots of craft beads with me [email protected] today. We also enjoyed a tour and learned more about their mission of sustainability and repurposing to help our environment and those who struggle with homelessness.
Emma and I had a great time helping Mrs. Pursell Riverview Elementary today finishing up the author welcome banner for their upcoming event. Looking forward to stopping by for the fun on May 12th if we can!
Autumn and I got a chance to celebrate children’s book illustrator Lee Harper’s visit to Riverview Elementary today and assist Mrs. Pursell with taking down projects for student portfolios.
It’s my final post as the MVHS Voyagers teacher. It’s been an incredible journey working with so many amazing people. New adventures await, but I believe that Quin Showalter’s adage, “Once a Voyager, Always a Voyager,” is true for me, too. Thanks for your trust and support!
