.Boston City Council voted to adopt a resolution urging Congress to enact the Energy Innovation Act which would impose a financial cost on those who contribute the most to climate change while protecting economically vulnerable households. boston.gov/news/city-coun…

Corporations now having to spend trillions to adapt to climate change is mobilizing sustainable investment in climate tech. The Energy Innovation Act would accelerate this trend, fairly, simply, and transparently. Become an endorser at energyinnovationact.org.

I can't vote in 🇺🇸 but if you can, please consider expressing your support of this bill! A comprehensive carbon fee and dividend program is the best thing we can introduce *today* to tackle climate change.

Thank you, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley , for supporting the teachers and education employees at AFT. AFT endorses a #PriceOnCarbon - please include it in the #BudgetReconciliation package currently being discussed in the Senate to reduce emissions and save lives.

If we want to pass on a livable world to our children and grandchildren, then we need to take major steps to limit carbon pollution. A carbon polluter fee is one of the things we should be doing to accomplish that goal. thehill.com/opinion/energy…

Science QOTD 🧑‍🔬: Q: What is carbon’s atomic mass? A: 12.01 – which means today, December 1st, is Carbon Day! Let’s fight climate change with a price on carbon.

Citizens’ Climate volunteers are focused on getting Congress to enact a #PriceOnCarbon, which economists describe as the most effective first step in solving climate change. That’s why I volunteer. Please consider joining us by volunteering or donating. cclusa.org

I spoke twice for Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)’s Better World Campaign. Both my speeches focused in how MIT is special because our campus is the perfect representation of our values: we encourage people to collaborate and interact, just like all great city streets and neighborhoods do. Shameful decision

Matthew Vernacchia (@mvernacchia) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This policy contradicts the spirit of openness and collaboration that I loved as an undergrad and grad student. Restrictions were needed during 2020, but the need has passed. I’m never giving to an Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) administration that supports these misguided “gated community” rules.

To the extent that it works, this problematic strategy takes advantage of negative representation within our system: pushing political opinion to the right can result in the outcome moving to the left. news.mit.edu/2020/study-phy…
