CCL applauds the reintroduction of the Clean Competition Act from Sheldon Whitehouse and Rep. Suzan DelBene! The bill "would give domestic companies a step up in the global marketplace while lowering carbon emissions at home and abroad," Sen. Whitehouse says. whitehouse.senate.gov/news/release/w…

Carbon border adjustment mechanisms (CBAMs) are powerful climate policies. Analysis from Resources for the Future projects that in this CBAM design, emissions would "decrease globally by 81 million metric tons in the first year" with even greater reductions over time. More: rff.org/publications/r…
