I predicted a few weeks ago that Speaker Johnson's cutting aid to Ukraine would lead to nuclear proliferation among our allies. The more fingers on nuclear buttons, the greater the odds of nuclear war. Johnson is a treacherous fool making the world a more dangerous place.

Big Picture: yes, the Supreme Court has given Trump a huge win, but it's a win because Trump wants to do anything to avoid a pubic trial where the facts of his guilt would be presented for all to see. An innocent person running for office would want to clear his name.

The brutal reality: John Roberts’ Supreme Court is an ally of Donald Trump. By taking its time to evaluate the immunity case, and then deciding to stretch out its decision-making under these extraordinary circumstances, they are giving Trump immunity should he win. Just awful.

Speaking of paying our share… If the US gave as much/GDP to Ukraine as does Denmark or Slovakia, Ukraine would win easily. If we gave as much/GDP to Ukraine as Estonia does, Ukraine would likely have won long ago. Ukrainian victory is what matters and we are the slackers.

Remotely serious R’s in Congress have been retiring to the point of extinction. Meanwhile, Dems have been investing in a hugely talented bench of young pragmatists. When the Trump/Biden smoke clears, people are going to be surprised by how strong the next generation of Dems is.
