If sensible people only need guns to protect themselves from assholes with guns, we should eliminate guns altogether.

Sometimes when we fuck up seemingly irretrievably, the best thing we can do is go home and begin again refreshed with discipline from lessons learned.

My parents teach me so much about fight and forgiveness. I get a front-row seat to the robust, juxtaposing characteristics that melt and give way into the makings of me, and I get to use that wisdom to make decisions in real time about how I want to move forward.

It’s tough when you’re young, gifted, and Black in what you perceive as a mediocre, White world where you’re institutionalized to stifle and silence your creativity.

I'm a full-time thinker, writer, and content creator. And regardless of whether or not I have a good or bad employer or a good or bad day, I can rest in that blessing & give my best in appreciation. Doing what I do is a privilege, & I owe it to God to walk and work in gratitude.

We have so much more power than we realize. People hold the keys to policy changes that can end violence. Some have enough dollars to end world hunger. Others influence the culture to move in whichever direction they decide. Imagine if we all used our power for God’s purposes.

Nothing is a waste of time. The more we merge our identities, the more balanced we become with our responsibilities.

How do you find joy in a hopeless world? Spend time around people you love. Think about good things. Learn a new skill. Praise God for the big and small wins. 💡
