7th and 8th grade have been BUSY! 8th grade made homemade ramen and learned about healthier substitutions. 7th grade has been learning to hand sew and they’ve just completed their final project: making a pillow!

Yesterday 7th grade used the fabric scraps from our projects and made them into dog toys! These will be going to the shelter this weekend. I also HAD to make them some pancakes on a job well done. 👍🏼

I really enjoyed my time at FCSTAT in Dallas this week! So much learning and networking has got me fired up for my second year in the classroom!

Found all the trophies HMS FCCLA has won over the years and had to showcase. Excited to continue the legacy!

Today 8th grade Teen Leadership got to play with play-doh! While learning about Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, kiddos got to create examples for each level. We had interesting creations!

Our 23-24 HMS FCCLA officer team has been announced! We have some great student leaders ready to make a difference this year!
