I beg of you all. Please be actively involved in the lives of the young people in your family. It’s actually necessary. Aggressively make it your business. Make them have somewhere to go after school, keep up with their studies, take them during holidays, invest in their hobbies

Adult friendships require GRACE. They’re not ignoring you or “being weird” they’re battling something mentally. It’s not always personal because they couldn’t make your birthday. I’m sure they wanted to but finances maybe made it not possible. You have to think beyond just you.

PSA, if you’re in the emergency department and your doctor tells you they’re sorry you’ve been sitting in the waiting room and that they’re working on freeing up a room for you, I promise you they are doing everything in their power to do exactly that. It is not a lie.
