This week has been all about foraging and food prep. Everyone is loving the current glut of raspberries and it has been wonderful watching them discover the new fruits as well as sharing with each other. #forestschool

So today the students made bread and we cooked it over the fire before smothering it in garlic butter! 15 minutes of wonderful calm and concentration whilst they cooked it to perfection! Delicious 💚

Lest we forget

Clubs can feel like such an added pressure on top of a busy day but so rewarding. Today Unity Academy students made pasta, looked at budgeting and healthy eating, worked together, checked in and gave shout outs before sitting down to eat together. 1.5 hours well spent.

When you do a knowledge check on the last lesson of term, have 15 minutes left and your y10s ask to look at the specimens in the cupboard for fun 🥰 although it wasnt fun trying to get them all back in the cupboard!

Great start with the new Unity Academy students doing forest school this week, getting stuck in with fire making, whittling and making herbal teas 🍃

They all got stuck in to everything even when it scared them today 😊🍃 They all did fabulous!

Part of me dreads another 1.5hrs at school after a full day but it always ends as a highlight of the week. I love sitting down to eat, chat and play games with this lot. Jamie's Farm
