Leaving Year 1 and moving up to Year 4. Excited for the change, and I’ll be teaching my first class again!

Another 2 ties from the kids this year (plus one at Christmas and one from my wife), brings the total up to 39! Will soon need to get another hanger

First week in Y4 done. Transition- hard. Every lesson, objective, target, ability, minute of every day is different from the past 3 years However, my class are kind, my TA is great, school is supportive, and I know when I push through a few weeks I’ll be loving it

Has anyone got any good, fun methods of teaching spellings? Having to recap Y3 spellings on top of Y4, so want it to be more fun for the class

Classroom tidied, desk cleared and plants watered- the end of a half term. First half term in Y4 has been challenging, but great. Really enjoying seeing the kids tackle new concepts and ‘get’ tricky ideas (4 digit column sub👀). Excited to catch up with friends & get some rest
