It’s happened. Labour is now the largest party of local government. They’ve surpassed the Conservative Party in terms of numbers of councillors for the first time since 2002. Big moment.

After today’s local election results, we will hear more about Labour’s economic policy. They have not talked in any detail. So the question will be how Labour will fix the economy. I am sure the journalists will start this line of questioning from tomorrow.
