i don't think it makes you a bad person to not be disgusted or disturbed by dark themes in gothic horror, but when the entire point of the genre is to Disgust and Disturb i think it is silly to act like people who do feel that way are in the wrong

"what fictional media you consume/how you consume it isn't a reflection of your irl morals and personality" goes both ways. liking dark themes doesn't mean you condone those things irl, and finding them disturbing doesn't mean you deserve to be ridiculed.
