We Neyts Virology Lab show omicron #SARSco2 does not readily infect lungs of hamsters (contrast to other strains). Reasons may be 1) too well adapted to man 2) infects rather the upper respiratory tract 3) is less pathogenic or, combination of above. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
