Our 19 gingerbread people and letters were mailed today for an Ontario-wide gingerbread exchange. Ss enjoyed learning about mail carriers and how mail delivery works. We’re excited to receive lots of mail and learn about other Gr. 1 classes across the province.

Gr. 1s are enjoying reading letters from classrooms across Ontario, plotting their locations on our map, and describing gingerbread cookies with adjectives 😋

Happy “jour de la marmotte” from Grade 1. We made a table of our predictions yesterday, learned a new poem, illustrated stories, and made treats. Spring is coming soon 🌷🪺🌳

Lots of practicing counting to 100 for our “100e jour d’école” today. The 100 piece trail mix is always a favourite centre. Thank you Gr. 1 families for donating ingredients.

We celebrated Earth Day on Monday with a new sensory bin, Spring-themed vocab work, and a new French read aloud.
