Our Grade 4 and 5 students spent this week engaging in activities about La journée du chandail orange. We started off with the story Quand on était seuls and finished with our Chaque Enfant Compte t-shirts. They have been asked to continue the conversation and learning at home.

Our grade 4’s are excited to be learning about Rocks and Minerals! Thank you University of Waterloo Science department for coming out to teach our students.

Grade 5 visit to the Ontario Legislature. What a fun interactive visit we had!

Today the DDW EcoTeam members participated in our EcoTeam Kick-off event! It was an awesome day of learning about waste management, active transportation and battery recycling. We are ready to take action this year and continue on our amazing EcoSchools journey! EcoSchools Canada

Gorgeous day to visit Royal Botanical Gardens. We did some investigations with rocks & minerals. We also learned about different habitats. We have both a wetland and forest in our region.

Getting reading for the DDW Pumpkin Contest!

Look at all of the French speaking we did last week! Students get to put their name in a weekly draw for a small prize for each time they make an extra effort to speak French. So proud of you all!
