Test footage from Operation "Credible Sport" of a YMC-130H configured with 30 rockets in preparation for a rescue attempt of the hostages held in Iran in 1980. Takeoff test succeeded with front wheels lifting off after 10 feet. Full Landing failed with rockets firing early.👀

So, in the late 1940s, the USAF tested caterpillar track landing gear on a Boeing B-50 to enable ops on rough fields by spreading weight. Tests showed promise for flotation but failed due to belt weight limits, bearing issues & maintenance woes-concept abandoned.👀
