Culturally responsive STEM project! Ss are applying their knowledge from building a wigwam last week to build their own here in class! Ss had to create a circle base when given the diameter. Next, Ss build their dome-like structures to be strong enough to hold a “blanket of snow”

Girl’s Volleyball came to an end tonight with #SJM in the finals against Confed! We ended up falling just short of a win but they played their best game yet! I am so proud of them! Way to go Knights!

A great Day 1 at Lakehead for the Indigenous Education and Math Conference #IKMath2023 Today’s experience was learning about looming & it’s connections to math. Thankful to be in a space with so many community partners that allows us to have these experiences & learning.

Day 2 Lakehead University Orillia for #IKMath2023. Today was all about birch bark baskets, & the cultural teachings of the experience. The math connections during this task were so evident. We talked SA, V, Cap. , and informal methods of measurement. Oh! And assembled my loom bracelet!
