Ordering fractions. Want to hear a Gr.2 student communicate his math thinking? 🤯 We did some fishbowls then went back and made changes to our thinking. During consolidation a student said--"the bigger the bottom number the smaller the parts in the WHOLE are" these kids!!🙆🏼‍♀️

Working on vowel patterns and syllable division strategies (can be a little dry). I told my students they would be able to read/write any word in the world after learning all tricks and strategies. A student said: "Even 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'" Yes! Give it a go!😎

We love working with Flyleaf Publishing texts! We used information from the text to help us write about the life cycle of a Luna Moth. Students re-read each section multiple times, and pulled words to help them write a sentence or two about each stage. Amazing work 1/2!🐛🦋
