This week s1/s2 are writing cards for our health heroes and patients in local high dependency wards and intensive care units. A very small gesture for their huge efforts!

Over 200 Christmas cards labelled and ready to go out to local hospitals. Good effort s1 & s2!

“It must be so difficult being a modern studies teacher and not sharing your own political views.” is what I hear often. Except all I do is share my views on what makes a fair, just and equal society. My pupils are intelligent and informed enough to make their own decisions. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s ok to believe that children need desperately to be in school but still believe that schools should not go back in January.

That was a tough term! I wonder what it’s been like for a student at home that has attended every lesson and completed every task this term?

On catch up. If teachers could just magically get loads of kids to make double the progress than usual, with a disproportionately high effect on the lowest attaining, we’d already have been doing that.
