#QCSD K-5 life skills students had a great time visiting Hellerick’s Family Farm. They were paired with Quakertown Community High School QCHS Best Buddies, learned social skills & how to navigate in a community setting. Instruction included science & the history of the farm. @BillHarner QCSDstudentservices

Our life skills students went on their first community based instruction trip of the year to Hellerick’s Farm! We were joined by 7 amazing QCHS Best Buddies members!

The Life Skills classrooms had some fun with the winter door decorating! We even created our own game for teachers/staff to participate in.

Our elementary Life Skills students participated in their second Community Based Instruction trip of the year! We went to Earl Bowling and then to Chick Fil A to practice skills in the community setting. Our students loved having QCHS Best Buddies join us.

For our April CBI trip we walked to Trumbauersville Fire Company where students learned about fire safety, engaged in hands on activities, and ordered Rita’s!

The Trumbauersville Panther Runners ended their first season with a 5k this weekend! Over the past 8 weeks students have been staying after school to build community, acceptance, and friendship while also getting outside to run together!
