The UK is ranked as one of the worst countries in Europe in terms of sacrificing green space to development. Thanks to @RachelReeves, Steve Reed and this Labour government. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Absolutely devastating data on the London housing market from Molior London today. Sales and starts (on private schemes of 20+ homes) both heading towards zero. (1/?)

An absolute must watch. Energy bosses have just told Parliament that EVEN IF gas prices halved by 2030, the soaring policy costs of renewables would mean bills go UP. Ed Miliband’s plan means more grid, more expensive renewable subsidies, more paying wind farms to turn off.

Claire Coutinho (@clairecoutinho) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We need a radical change to energy policy. Our Cheap Power Plan would cut bills by 20% instantly. Axe the Carbon Tax and scrap the Renewable Obligation subsidies pushing up bills. Ed could do this tomorrow if he truly cared about cutting bills.

Alex Armstrong (@alexharmstrong) 's Twitter Profile Photo

There you have it. Net Zero is probably going to cost you HUNDREDS more pounds a year. That means Ed Miliband’s electoral promise to bring your bills down was completely untruthful and clearly backed by ideologically massaged data.

David Turver (@7kiwi) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We spend about £12bn/yr on renewables subsidies, more than double the £5.5bn we spend on gas for electricity. Plus another £4bn/yr on grid balancing and backup. Even more coming to fund grid expansion to connect remote renewables. Davey is either ignorant or lying.

Ed Miliband's claim that UK energy bills are sky high because of gas prices has been exposed as a lie by energy company CEOs, who told MPs that even if gas prices halved Net Zero levies would drive up bills, says Ben Pile. climateskeptic.org/p/ed-milibands…

Paul Johnson The article is pretty accurate IMO. The government has no plan for growth (as evidenced by having policies that make the economy smaller); and they simply will not get public spending even vaguely under control. Reeves knows she can't tax her way to growth, but still she tries.

Paul Johnson Prof. Chadha is an outstanding academic UK GDP per capita has fallen from top 6 position in 2005 to c30th in ‘25 It is likely to drop to c46th over the next 15 years Brits have been subjected to socialist economic policies, destroying wealth creation. No incentive to strive!

"As such the Chalk Stream Recovery Pack— which was announced by the previous government— falls short of these wider ambitions and is no longer being taken forward." Well that didn't take long then. Govt abandon plan to save England's chalk streams.

In stark contrast to the fool Whitty, Sweden’s Anders Tegnell told Swedes to spend as much time outside as possible during Covid. Unlike our idiots, Tegnell understood you struggle to catch an airborne respiratory virus outdoors. mol.im/a/15211187

The atmosphere in general practice in England is so toxic now. GPs telling me how they had hope this govt would be on their side now saying they have totally opposite opinion with govt making lives harder and care less safe. Access to a GP harder with govt changes…

After this powerful statement from survivors Jess Phillips is finished. 👇 Women who were not believed by the authorities as young girls were accused of lying by the minister who is supposed to be their champion. It is beyond disgraceful. Just go, Jess Phillips !

Paul Marks Yes We need to pivot to nuclear (reforming regulation to deliver faster and cheaper like South Korea) and we need a plan for more gas generation
