Out of all the poorly named ideas from #Scrum (and now proliferating through the "#agile" ecosystem), the product "backlog" is possiblity the poorest. A list of "things left to do" does not marry well with the idea of a continuously evolving list of *options* based on insights.

Reminder that it takes just as much effort (time, money, staff, etc.) to build the wrong thing as it does the right thing. Problem discovery is under appreciated as a practice in software engineering, especially when compared to problem solving.
