On Tuesday 30th November I was presented with an MBE for services to Higher Education, Zoology, Reptile Conservation, and Snakebite Research, by HRH the Princess Royal, Princess Anne, at an investiture at Windsor Castle. It was a great and unexpected honour.

Biology Week 2022. #IAmABiologist Prof of Herpetology @ Uni of Wolverhampton, my work is diverse, i.e. A. tropical fieldwork, B. museum research describing new species, C. catching medically important snakes for antivenom & D. disseminating info via lectures, books, papers & tv.

Another regional meeting for our IUCN Snake Specialist Group! We discussed upcoming conferences, priority snake species for research, updates for conservation listing of species, discussed new membership, and connected people with experts on the ground in the field.
