Hey #camtrapR and #cameratrap folks, Anyone know of a way to extract JPGs from TLS files while retaining the image metadata? Our Browning StrikeForce Apex cameras lump time lapse & motion trigger images into a single TLS file per day. I have a work around but its time consuming.

A Blanding's Turtle is a great way to start out this season! We are in our 2nd year of using different sampling methods (trail cams + basking platforms; aquatic traps) to monitor this and other spp of turtles in Minnesota. #turtles #herpetology

Did you know that Minnesota has 2 species of lungless #salamanders? This summer the #LambLab at #SCSU began working with one of them - the Four-toed Salamander (Hemidactylium scutatum). We have been conducting both #eDNA & traditional surveys for populations across the state 🧬

📚 👀 Looking for #ecology focused pop science books to incorporate into a non-majors #biology class! Prev used Wilson's "Diversity of Life", but it hasn't been a favorite Any recommendations? Pls share! 📸 Of Bog Labrador Tea (Rhododendron groenlandicum) for attention 😁

Our review on "The evolution and ecology of multiple antipredator defences" is out now! This paper stems from a symposium sponsored by ESEB during the pandemic, and is out now (Journal of Evolutionary Biology) thanks to the tireless leadership of David Kikuchi & Alice Exnerova doi.org/10.1111/jeb.14… #OA

Today we wrapped up in the wetlands for our 2-year Blanding's Turtle project! Here is the core team from Summer 2023 by our last basking platform. Both Kerri (left) and Makayla (middle) have worked hard this summer, and made the long days fun, so a huge THANK YOU to them!

A great, fully-funded MS position to work on patch-nosed salamanders @ Clemson University with Dr. Cathy Jachowski, but also working closely with our lab here at KSU. Share with folks who might be interested! wfscjobs.tamu.edu/jobs/m-s-assis…
