Mick Chesterman It doesnt have to-its the shape that matters and it depends on the context. But even with hands on play early it may be worth noting briefly the learning outcome first so you are doing hands on play with a purpose not just play -but why?That might lead to a more cliff edge start.
Mick Chesterman One thing to realise is that its not actually single waves -it is waves inside waves and waves following waves (within a session & session to session) so it can be a bit moot where the start is. You always want students in a position to be packing in their heads not flat-lining.
