I am happy to announce that last week I received my Ph.D. based on the use of Machine Learning methods for plant identification. I am fascinated by Machine Learning/Data Science and open to employment and/or research.

"Pen & Paper Exercises in Machine Learning" -- probably the most interesting arXiv article I've seen in a while ☺️ 📝 arxiv.org/abs/2206.13446 Love it when exercises come with solutions. 👌 (Textbooks with exercises but w/o solutions are truly evil 😆).

I am unreasonably happy that in my stack of NeurIPS papers to review, ALL of them used [42] style refs, not (VanDamme etal 1994) style. A few even used the CVPR-style with colors and back-links ins the bib. I really don't like the egocentricity of the latter style.
