In funny Superior Court of Justice (ON) news, the Middlesex Law Association has described the poorly thought through Civil Rules Reform as 'Rapid and Risky.' Echoing the Advocates Society, it calls for 'data driven solutions' for Ontario's must data adverse (and backwards) institution.

For those concerned about the ill conceived "reforms" to the Superior Court of Justice (ON) civil system, you can sign a petition (not mine) against such changes at docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

Publicly and for the record OCT_OEEO Law Society of Ontario, Hamas and its supporters don't belong in Canada. Same for Hezbollah and Taliban supporters. They should be put on the first plane or boat back. Canada doesn't need terrorists or terror simps.

Anyone else find it suspicious that just as AI comes online to allow for the quick summary of documents, the Superior Court of Justice (ON) and the Ministry of the Attorney General are trying to eliminate discovery in civil actions, in abrogation of the common law?

In funny Superior Court of Justice (ON) news, is anyone else surprised that Professor Semple came up with more good ideas for court reform in a few weeks than the Civil Rules Working Group over the last year? linkedin.com/pulse/look-bef…

So Mark Carney proposes (bill C-2) to make it illegal to buy stuff using 10k or more cash, while allowing police to open your mail and snoop on your internet usage without a warrant. Ahh, the smell of watered down Canadian 'freedom.'

In funny Superior Court of Justice (ON) news, Chief Justice Morawetz and Attorney General Doug Downey double down on the unpopular (and ill conceived) Civil Rules Review. lawtimesnews.com/news/features/…

In Superior Court of Justice (ON) news, certain courts (Oshawa) are striking matters from the docket where the Confirmation of Motion Forms have not been uploaded to CaseCenter 5 days prior to hearing (in addition to those forms being filed with the court).

As Canada descends into lawlessness (with our "liberal and enlightened" approach to criminality, namely to release everyone on bail), citizens start to take matters into their own hands. Think the owner gets a harsher sentence than the thieves? torontosun.com/news/local-new…

In Superior Court of Justice (ON) news, remember that Monday is the final day to make submissions on whether the civil courts should switch to deciding cases based on which side's creative writing they prefer (as they propose the elimination of discoveries along with other dumb ideas).

More lawyers are coming out against the Chief Justice (of Superior Court of Justice (ON)) and Doug Downey misguided attempt to "cut and gut" the civil justice system in Ontario (with one prominent lawyer calling some of the changes insane).

In good Toronto news, this time its not Olivia Chow, Doug Ford and Chief Myron Demkiw failing to enforce the law and making Canada less safe. Meanwhile, Mark Carney remains useless, much like Montreal's police (terrorist protection) force.

In Superior Court of Justice (ON) news, the Ontario Superior Court held only 361 trials in 2023, about half as many as in 2014. Civil trials in the Central East fell by nearly 75% !
