Yeah, I’ve noticed.. not the kind of weather you want in Venice. I’m flying home today (.. if the weather allows!), but a later flight. Trying to make my way to an indoor place where I can also drop my hold-all off for a few hours. Walked outside for 10 mins, it’s soaked 🥲

Managed to avoid Covid for a good 2+ years, but alas - it has found me again. Positive test earlier today. Sore throat crept up overnight (and is getting more painful), excessively tired. I’m going to bed. 😴

This might be the worst round of covid I’ve had so far. Light fever, very sore throat (painful to swallow), coughing, overall body aches (can’t even lift my arms long enough to draw at my easel), exhaustion, itchy eyes, blocked nose, feeling faint, and nausea. Damn.

Had to go to my postbox, ran into my neighbour, warned her I might still be contagious but she'd recently had Covid herself already. She goes: "You.. don't look well. You also don't sound well. Can I make you some soup?" Best neighbours. 🥹🥰

Every time I think I'm starting to feel better, a new symptom pops up an hour later. I still don't have enough energy to even be able to draw, it's madness.

Love having to prebook a Christmas grocery slot when none of the actual Christmas food is in the list yet. I'm a bit forgetful sometimes, so I've made a list that would suffice in a pinch, but let's hope I remember to amend my order when the good stuff becomes available..

Ah yes, there goes my rent portion & my mortgage for the month (I’m in shared ownership). Bank account went from “yay!” to “nay!” real quick. You know it’s coming but it looks so sad every time 😂

I’m on a food buying ban (besides fresh veggies & fruit) until I clear out at least half of my freezer and pantry.. I could probably easily feed myself until Christmas without having to buy much 🥲

Ordered comfort food (Korean fried chicken) for dinner. Heaps of it. With pickled reddish. I’m going on Do Not Disturb for the evening to contemplate life & the state of the world.

Going to bed solely because I’m excited for breakfast and it’ll come quicker that way. Food is life.

Went to a Waitrose and found a bunch of groceries I had been craving and couldn’t find anywhere.. turns out my problem is having expensive taste 🤦🏼‍♀️

All I’m doing in these days between Christmas & New Year’s is lazing around & taking naps. That’s the expected schedule, right?

LOL, I went to the communal bin storage to throw out some recycling. As I walk in, there’s a pile on the side with a shiny outbox on top for - as per the description - “suck-o-mat. the ultimate sucking machine” Like yeah, get off, have fun. But maybe put it away properly? 😂
