In 2017, Kansas lawmakers united to expand Medicaid, but it was vetoed. Since then, 6 rural hospitals have closed and nearly 60 more are at risk. Republicans and Democrats have voted to expand Medicaid before. There's no reason they can't now. Let's get this done ASAP.

Kansas now ranks 50th in the amount of federal funds we leverage to support our state. We can turn this around by expanding KanCare, which will bring back federal dollars to stimulate the economy, protect rural communities & hospitals and improve the health of Kansans. #ksleg

In a hard fought game the Quinter Bulldogs defeated Logan-Palco 60-53 in overtime to advance to the championship game of the Gove County Classic Basketball Tournament.

It's long past time to pay teachers more. When districts gain flexibility to raise teacher salaries, students improve in math & reading. Schools attract better teachers—and they put in more effort. The quality of our children's education depends on how much we value teachers.

Congratulations to the Quinter Bulldogs basketball team for their fourth place finish at the state tournament in Colby. The team lost their final game of the tournament 46-32 to the Olpe Eagles.

History made! The Quinter Bulldogs win the sub state championship by beating Downs-Lakeside 67-42 marking the first time in school history that both the boys and girls basketball teams will compete at the state tournament in the same year! Go Bulldogs!
