Walk to JSQ on Bergen this morning featured: - driver making illegal left onto Storms while I was in the crosswalk - two cars running the same red light at Vroom - truck blocking crosswalk at Newkirk - the usual mess of box-blockers at Sip while a cop looks on

Maybe next time he'll think before he speeds... jcitytimes.com/op-ed-the-deat… Bad musical puns aside, I felt this piece to my core. I regularly yell at drivers doing dangerous shit. But in recent days just yelling (into the void, let's be honest) doesn't feel like enough.

This would be good progress! I expect Steven Fulop to be whipping the votes of council members who were elected on his ticket. Should sail through then! Am also begging for improvements in Ward B. Bergen and WSA are pedestrian nightmares.

This is the hostility that Jersey City has toward pedestrians: when a giant truck parks on the sidewalk, the passing traffic enforcement waves at the driver instead of telling them to get the hell off the sidewalk. Enforcement can't fix shit.
