Thingyan should be a celebration of joy, but unfortunately there is nothing to celebrate in Myanmar. I hope it is true that sprinkling water washes away sins. So many sins have been committed since 1st February. I hope to celebrate Thingyan with all released again in the future.

Syria analogy not quite right. Would need army to fracture for civil war. Neighbouring countries don't have strategic aims as Iran, Turkey, Saudi etc. And existing upland armed conflicts already facing multiple stalemates. Revolution or failed state more likely than civil war

One person died and two, included a disabled man, were injured in #Mandalay when coup regime’s gunmen stormed Sule Mosque this morning (Apr 15) during #Ramadan. Five people, including children aged 11 and 16, also arrested for sleeping inside mosque. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
