Tremendous accomplishment by the woman in this picture. She earned Civil Air Patrol’s highest cadet award, last night. An amazing celebration. My heart is full after the event. With her two brothers who I taught a few summers ago. Her plan is to be a U.S. Air Force C-17 pilot.

Congratulations to our former wing commander, Col. Joe Winter, for being named the national inspector general for the Civil Air Patrol and Chaplain (Lt. Col.) John F. Reutemann III for being named chief of the Chaplain Corps by incoming national commander Brig. Gen. Regena Aye.

Yesterday we had a special visit from our community partners at Calvert K-9 Search Team for a search demonstration. K-9 Toby takes a break under our aircraft status display.
