95/ An example of the resistance to airborne: an obvious case of long-distance airborne transmission of smallpox in Germany in 1970. SP airborne trans. debated for centuries, only definitely accepted in the complete absence of community transmission pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/5313258/

97/ The case report shows the prevailing bias against airborne in Public Health: “The only remaining route of transmission considered reasonable was airborne spread of a virus-containing aerosol, **a possibility against which all of the investigators were initially prejudiced**”

“In summary, we call for national governments to consider mandating real-time indoor air quality monitoring in at least all public buildings, as people have a right to healthy air in the buildings they must use.” (4/4) Full article: link.springer.com/content/pdf/10…

It’s like changing a 30mph speed limit on roads into a *daily average* 30mph speed limit, INCLUDING times when the car is stationary in your driveway. So it would be fine to drive at 100mph on a 30mph road, as long as your overall daily average doesn’t exceed 30mph. 🤯

For those interested in the official BB101 guideline in force in the UK, the curve below is a simulation of a 'BB101 compliant' classroom, which is therefore considered to be adequately ventilated in this BB101 guideline.

Monkeypox: Mpox detected at Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. Here's what you need to know: It is not yet known how many prisoners are infected, and Cornelius wouldn't answer questions Tuesday, citing an ongoing investigation. desmoinesregister.com/story/news/hea…

What happens in a classroom when different regulations or guidelines for indoor air renewal are followed? Below is an example from 3 countries. The ventilation rates allowing this are given for information (Air Changes per Hour - ACH). During breaks & lunch they could be lowered.

These stunningly relevant musings by Antoine Lavoisier in 1785, following his pioneering indoor CO2 measurements, address concerns about airborne diseases in poorly ventilated spaces—issues still critical today.

🚨Doctor to take the stand at COVID-19 Inquiry to expose UK officials TL/DR: they knew it was airborne in Jan 2020, but when the RPE stockpile was gone, they said it was ‘mild’, took away our respirators, & let us all get infected instead #expendable bohs.org/media-resource…

I want to know - why - on what evidence - why we have to wait for a PI to get to know the truth & correct errors - why the NIPCM is still advocating a droplet / aerosol paradigm that defies physics. I want help for HCWs who got infected by IPC guidance and can no longer work

One of my favorite deep-space images: a panorama of the center of our galaxy seen in radio waves. Supernova explosions blew out the bubbles. A massive black hole powers the central glow. Nobody knows what created the long, vertical filaments. sarao.ac.za/media-releases…
