I applaud our City on announcing its historic minimum pay increase. Delivery workers face tough conditions & have to invest in costly tools of the trade. A $5 increase would go a long way to covering those costs. There's still time to comment in support: bit.ly/NYCDCWP

Delivery workers demand a fair wage for their work! A true minimum wage must reflect operating costs and not force workers to depend on unreliable tips. Our delivery worker leaders rallying with #LosDeliveristas today at City Hall!

A massive Thank You to 32BJ SEIU /// #BuildingJustice 🧹✊🏽 for joining us at today’s Deliverista Day of Action. “As the pandemic tore through our city, delivery workers went from a largely invisible & often forgotten workforce to ‘essential workers’ seemingly overnight,”– John Santos at 32BJ SEIU /// #BuildingJustice 🧹✊🏽

We’re funding a failed fighter jet program that is projected to cost upwards of $1.7 trillion. We’ve enabled U.S. billionaires to grow their wealth by $1.5 trillion during the pandemic alone. Don’t tell us we "can’t afford" $12 billion to restore the expanded child tax credit.

✊🏾✊🏿Today— Amazon Labor Union IBT showed up for Deliveristas and uplifted the fight for a Just Pay of $28.82 a hour for App-based food delivery workers. Thank you Tristan Lion Christian Smalls and Amazon Labor Union IBT for your solidarity and courage to fight the greedy of corporate power.

Thank you to everyone that testified, submitted comments and amplified our fight for a Just Pay of $28.82 a hour. Despite the cold, rainy weather, we rallied for a Just Pay. The companies are trying to divide us by putting workers against workers, and consumers against workers

A huge thank you to everyone that showed up at today’s rally and supports the Just Pay of $28.82 a hour. At today’s public hearing the apps were dishonest and were using the fear of workers and consumers to divide us. We need every New Yorker to stand with us, Los Deliveristas.

NYC Uber driver strike and rider boycott starts TONIGHT at 12:01 AM!!! Time to listen to drivers! “We all testified at the TLC hearings. This is our win. Our victory. Our raise. Let’s not let Uber take that away.”

Those who fight for workers’ rights know how corporations sow division and push misinformation to keep wages low—and profits high. It’s happening now in NYC right before a hearing on the minimum pay rate for delivery workers. I stand with Deliveristas and Workers Justice Project ✊🏾❤️.

NEW: Delivery workers in NYC made history when they won a $24/hour minimum wage. It was supposed to go into effect in January, until it didn’t. DoorDash and Grubhub ran a shady, backroom campaign to delay and water down the law. But Los Deliveristas are fighting back.

Disgusting. The greed knows no bounds. I hope to see the City vigorously defend dignified wages. New York stands with the Deliveristas.

An average person who did something as incompetent as “accidentally cancelling Ebola prevention” wouldn’t be applauded, they’d be fired. Musk is failing up in this administration because he didn’t earn his job, he bought it. It’s corrupt, and risks Americans’ health and safety.
