Dating from a political scandal in the 1980s, it stands for Grotesque, Unbelievable, Bizarre and Unprecedented.

Overused, as all political clichés are, this is one instance to which it is definitely applicable.

And here we go. Already, this spills into the ongoing row about the Irish Sea border.

It is a destabilising moment for Unionism. People will use it for their own political ends.

I mean. Obviously full sympathy for William and I’m sure it’s awful. But like just off the top of my head… the Princes in the Tower had it pretty rough 🤷‍♂️
