NYC will gain only about 45,000 jobs in 2023, NYC Independent Budget Office now forecast. That’s less than half the 110,000 jobs the Independent Budget Office projected in May. IBO now says NYC won’t regain all of the jobs lost in the pandemic until the second half of 2024.
