For The Labour Party party insider to suggest to BBC that Muslim voters in West Midlands mayoral election who failed to back them are pro-Hamas is just vile and racist. Labour needs stop dehumanising Muslim communities & root out Islamophobia from its ranks t.ly/kt4Yh

This is racist.

Muslim voters, indeed voters of any faith and none, who rejected Labour because of the crisis in the Middle East should not be compared to Hamas.

This source needs to be disciplined. The party must not continue to tolerate this kind of anti-Muslim bigotry.

Good that @UKlabour has condemned the comments of the unnamed source. But self-reflection is also needed about how someone with such views can come to be thought of as reflective of the Party’s thinking. Addressing that requires change in specific policies and overall outlook

This comment is vile racism, plain and simple. I unequivocally condemn it and am glad that the Labour Party has done the same.

Such anti-Muslim bigotry will only serve to alienate a community that has long supported Labour in its efforts to transform this country for the…

Almost 14,000 children killed in Gaza since October 7, according to health authorities.

Jeremy Diamond reported on the deaths of ten children 2 weeks ago.

They are harrowing images, impossible to forget.

Now, his latest report on that Israeli strike.

We welcome the news that the Foreign Secretary has confirmed that the UK government will support the UN resolution marking 11th July as the International Day of Remembrance of the Srebrenica genocide which we called for in a recent letter from our Chair.

Anyone who takes time to read this final draft of the will quickly understand:

its adoption is needed, beneficial & good.

For the UN & everyone in 🇧🇦 as much as for the rest of the region, Europe and the world.

A relief to see David Bell has full page opinion piece on @TheCassReview in The Guardian today. Is the paper finally returning to it's senses?

I have written to the Foreign Secretary imploring him to restore funding for UNRWA.

It is vital that the UK helps to facilitate as much aid as possible getting into Gaza. By not restoring funding, we are worsening the suffering.

We must act immediately.
