"The people who lose it here will include the people who can't wash the lower part of their body.. do we really want to live in a society like that, where we're abandoning those people?" Kevin Maguire on the Labour govt targeting the sick and disabled #GMB

Living as a disabled person in London will cost you an extra £1,469 a month on average. Yesterday, I spoke out against plans to slash disability benefits, removing vital support from my constituents.

Why does this have to not only been an NHS clinician but an NHS clinician ‘in the provision of NHS services’? This is surely a specific slight on the many who have had to get an ADHD or autism diagnosis via the private sector as the wait lists are often 7 years.

TW++ DWP Think folk are totally not realising how bad the ‘severe condition’ criteria for UC Health are. If you look at the criteria plus the estimate only 200,000 out of 1.9 million currently in LCWRA, it’s pretty much only people dying soon or with no functioning from birth.

Keir Starmer rCan you please stop using the term "working people"! It's a meaningless, outdated phrase that divides the population of the country you govern. You were elected to serve EVERYONE and that includes the old, the young and the sick as well as those in employment.

Up to 170 Labour MP's could vote against the PIP cuts, if they did it would fail, and they may well save their jobs at the next election. This is not a Labour policy it is a Reform or Conservative one, don't vote for it.

I’m very clear that if the government moves ahead with cuts to universal credit health element, as well as personal independence payment, disabled people are not only going to suffer but be pushed into poverty. That’s not what a Labour government is for. Full story Big Issue👇

Do you think it’s OK that Darren Jones MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, accepted a £34,356 donation from a consultancy firm that has provided services to the NHS? I don’t.🚨 Let EveryDoctor explain…

Helena Dollimore MP you are just proving that you don't understand what being disabled means and the damage your support for the welfare reforms will do. #TakingThePIP

(1/2) With a heavy heart, I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as a whip. Whilst I will continue to support the government in delivering the change the country so desperately needs, I cannot vote in favour of the proposed reforms to disability benefits.

Vicky Foxcroft was appointed shadow disabilities minister by Keir Starmer in opposition and understands welfare system well. Likely to be just the first to stand down over the cuts.

This headline might seem neutral at first glance, but it’s not. The framing makes it sound like Iran and Israel have similar nuclear programs, which is completely false. Mostly because Israel has nuclear WEAPONS and Iran does not. Let me explain.
