Last night I went out with a Havering MPS response team, once again it was eye opening. Our first TWO jobs were sudden deaths, let that sink in. As a member of the public it was heart wrenching, there was still 7 hours to go, and we’d already experienced utmost trauma. 😢

One of our student officers was viciously attacked today with a knife receiving significant lasting injuries. They will live but what has happened to them is absolutely abhorrent & shocking . Our thoughts & those of all colleagues in West Midlands Police WMP Federation are with them.

Preventative, proactive policing works. Reactive policing serves a purpose but needs tight control. We should prioritise this type of policing over simply running to virtually any & every call through risk aversion, what ifs & wokery. We keep going, same people call us more.
