Twitter Web App : Our CDOs carry out welfare and cleaning tasks to ensure the wellbeing and safety of detainees. They also take fingerprints, photos and input personal information.

Orlo : We were called at 6.40pm this evening (Sept 24) to reports that a child had been seriously injured during an activity in the Snow Dome in Tamworth. Sadly, the boy, aged 12, died of his injuries shortly afterwards. Our thoughts are with his family.

Twitter Web App : Many of the cells here are equipped with CCTV, which is monitored 24/7 to ensure safety of the detainee.

Inside each cell there’s a thin mattress, pillow, sink and toilet.

There’s also a call button to request help from our Custody Detention Officers.

Twitter Web App : The next arrest is also on suspicion of assault. A 53-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent has arrived in custody.

Detainees have the right to inform someone of their arrest. Despite what you often see on TV, this isn't always a phone call.

Twitter Web App : A 24-year-old man has arrived after initially being detained by colleagues from Surrey Police.

He has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage.

Every person brought into custody is searched before being allocated a cell.

Orlo : A 34-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has just been charged with criminal damage offences.

He will be staying with us overnight, before appearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre in the morning.

Orlo : We’ve increased patrols following reports of disorder in Tontine Square, Hanley at around 3:30pm. Officers will be in the area to provide reassurance while we investigate the incident. Anyone with info should contact us via social media or 101 ref 477 of 24 Sept.

Orlo : A Burton man has been jailed for 40 months after pleading guilty to drugs offences in the town. Kieron Bradwell, 28, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court yesterday (22 Sept) after admitting seven offences. Report here -

Orlo : Two men have been jailed after dozens of wraps of class A drugs were seized at an address in Burton. Paul Allen was jailed for three years and Elie Mey jailed for 30 months at Stafford Crown Court yesterday (Sept 22) following a trial in August.
