🚑🚨#RapidRecap STEMI. Early diagnosis and prompt transfer to PPCI are crucial. Minimising our on-scene time can positively influence patient outcomes, especially those with cardiogenic shock. Women may experience 10% longer at scene; consider STEMI early. &...prepare for VF.🚑🚨

6 months ago, I took a leap of faith and moved away from home and ambulance services. Looking back, the best decision I’ve made. Really goes to show how much you can blossom when you take yourself out of your comfort zone. #paramedic #ambulanceservice

Absolutely buzzing to have completed and passed my Resuscitation Council UK ALS course. Great to be able to understand what happens during in hospital cardiac arrests, and not just pre hospital. Something else ticked off the list ☑️ #resuscouncil #ALS

Defib pad placement is important. Positioning them correctly can double someone’s chance of survival. Side A is correct. The key difference is that the pad on the left hand side of the chest has been placed on the side of the rib cage, closer to the armpit.

Many people think that a heart attack and cardiac arrest are the same thing, but they're two different medical emergencies requiring different treatments. Do you know the difference?

Upskilling #paramedics via placements in other settings is an effective way to safely reduce avoidable hospital conveyance – by around 60% to 30%. #NHSC filmed with Welsh Ambulance where the system is improving #patientcare & reducing service pressure. 👇nhsconfed.org/case-studies/a…

With deep sadness, we mark the passing of Professor Douglas Chamberlain. Pioneer, mentor, and the grandfather of paramedicine. His vision shaped our profession and saved countless lives. His legacy lives on in every paramedic and every life touched. Rest in peace, Professor.
