I’ve been as positive as anyone this entire #Mets season so I’m not going to jump ship now. But there are some games that really test our resolve. Today was one of those games. Brutal loss. #LGM

The concept of hoping #Mets don’t make playoffs so there will be mass firings is insane to me. There’s going to be a lot of changes, regardless. I’d rather hope for a fantasy run at the pennant than root for a disaster. #LGM

Had the pleasure of interviewing him during my podcast at Mickey Mantle’s Restaurant. What a gentleman. Rest in peace, sir.

Roy Clark, one of the most successful and respected scouts baseball has ever known, passed away at his Atlanta home last night. He was responsible for drafting and signing Wainwright, McCann, Francoeur, Morton, Heyward, Freeman, Kimbrel and many others. He was a great man.

I deleted my tweet about Zach Wheeler because it was posted in error. I wasn’t hacked, I just had something else in mind and was composing it, but put down my phone and must’ve posted it in error. For the record I feel horrible for Zack, and wish him a speedy recovery.

I get #Mets fans didn’t want Frankie Montas, but he wears the jersey of our team. He’s been awful, sure. But he was hurt, tried to come back and got hurt again. He’s likely done as a Met, but let’s have some compassion for our players.

Well, Roy Clark died last night. He was a baseball scout, and a damn good one. He probably taught me more about baseball and scouting than anyone, and a lot of people could say the same thing. The late-night baseball talks we had were priceless. For those of you who didn't know
